About

I created this website to help people hit by this current economic downturn. We’ve faced both job loss and illness when my husband was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. I’ve experienced the fear of not knowing what tomorrow will bring. I’ve also seen the potential available for the future, no matter my current circumstances, as I LEARNED money management strategies and CHANGED my self-destructive spending habits. Instead of being afraid I’d lose all I had, I learned to press on with HOPE that there were new possibilities in my future.
hope that is why you’re here, for lasting change and a chance to reach your full potential.
As a writer I write on a variety of topics for magazines, papers and e-zines. One thing that makes me unique is that I have focused on being a fiction writer. The key to excellent craft in Fiction also creates a compelling non-fiction article. All writing must transport the reader to a different place and time. I do that with my articles for clients, as well as in my fiction.
I have been published locally and nationally. My publishing credits include Charisma Magazines, Today’s Christian, Encounter, On Mission and The Toledo Business Journal. Online I have a successful blog that teaches business principles to writers the Writing Career Coach and I write a monthly Marketing Column and a quarterly Feature for the Afictionado E-zine.
As a Writing Career Coach I mentor aspiring writers in the basics of platform development, marketing and craft BEFORE the first book contract. As the competition grows stiffer, the only thing separating many authors from publication is a potential market who already KNOWS the author. My blog is full of free information and for those who want one-on-one coaching there is a VERY low-cost coaching program.
My Family
Family is important to many people, my family is no exception. This website was born out of our financial struggles when my husband was suddenly diagnoses with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma eight weeks after his 29th birthday. We had four children, one of whom was a special needs child we’d adopted six months prior. We suddenly had to face being incomeless, and my kids being fatherless. Chris recovered and our family survived. How we survived financially is the basis of this website.
Your family is important to you too. Whether your family is a large extended one or a pet parakeet, they are important. Part of the balanced life is meeting the needs of your family while at the same time meeting your personal, financial and professional needs.

Personal
When I’m not a Writer. Speaker. Wife. Mom. Writing Career Coach. I am simply Tiff. I enjoy spending the summers outside with my family. We watch the ducks and chickens scamper around our yard and fight with the cats for cat food.
It is a far cry from my college dream of working in international relations, but it is far more relaxing.
I still enjoy reading. I am fluent in French and American Sign Language and love comedies. I am grateful for all I have, likely because we came so close to losing it all.
I’m simply the mom in the pony-tail and jeans running her girls to ballet. I’m unrecognizable in a crowd but fulfilling my childhood dream of writing stories.
Thanks for coming and I hope you’ll be a regular visitor to our site,
Tiff
