Tiff’s Reading List

I try to set aside 15-30 minutes each day to sit down and read something for personal or business growth. You can see from the different colored tabs that this book is one of my favorites.

The E-Myth

This book was so life changing that I read it every July for 5 years and have continued to read parts of it on a regular basis. It helps with a fundamental mindset shift that helped me create systems for efficiency and delegation, so I could grow my business without increasing the time I spend working.

Who Not How

This book is just as useful for a stay at home mom as it is to a CEO if you can allow yourself to see the application. I have read this book twice this year. I feel that this combined with the E-myth gives most small business owners the tools and learning they need to create a scalable business, no matter the industry. This book also helps with the mind shift necessary to bring balance to the various areas of your life because it isn’t just a business book, it is a life book.

The Richest Man in Babylon

This gives a very clearly laid out way to build lasting wealth. I have read dozens of books on personal and business finance and budgeting. I know that money is the big stumbling block to business, relationships, happiness, mental health, and life. Money is a tool—and not the source of happiness—but it is a tool many have no clue how to use. I suggest the audiobook version of this book since it is more story form.

The Compound Effect

Many of us don’t accomplish our goals because of decision fatigue. That comes about because we don’t make a plan, instead we think “I want to do that.” Instead of creating a time and a path for success and simply getting up each day and doing it, we get up each day and think, “What do I have to do to get this goal accomplished.” By the time we figure that out, we are too tired to execute and the cycle begins again. This book helps avoid that. By helping you create daily routines and habits and then learning how to break big projects into small ones, you’re able to accomplish far more in far less time.
