This time of year is full of traditions in our families, faiths, and community. There is giving to help the less fortunate, celebrating time with family, and being thankful for what we have. In the Bible it talks about marriage by saying, “A man shall leave his father and mother and cling to his wife and the two shall become one flesh.” or as I like to say, leaving and cleaving.
I feel like this happens in more than just marriage. It happens with every new phase of life. In fact, in another part of the Bible the Apostle Paul talks about, “Letting go of what is behind and straining forward.”
I think this is the true key to growth. It is a principle we can all embrace and apply to every area of our life. Said another way, what got us here won’t get us to the next level. We are like a crab that has to shed his shell and be vulnerable for a season while we wait to find a new shell or our shell to harden [depending on what kind of crab we are].
As you are looking at moving from this season to the next one, I hope you’ll look for ways that you can grow to prepare for whatever the next level or season of life will be for you. I want to thank you for letting us be a part of that journey with you, and please visit our website to let us know where you are headed and how we can partner with you with resources to grow.
We will see you soon!
