Today’s Decisions Create Tomorrow’s Results

You have already heard it, but sometimes we need to hear it again to apply it.

You just need to do simple, boring things to be successful. So, let’s get started today. For each project, big or small, that stares at you but refuses to budge, do these few things. They will take minutes.

  1. What result are you trying to get? Is it weight loss? Saving money? Paying off debt? A training? Cleaning the kitchen?
  2. What is the first step to accomplishing that goal? This is something small. It could be gathering your bills to figure out where your money went or putting away the clean dishes, so you can wipe down the counter. Maybe reading an email you’ve been avoiding.
  3. Do it. Not all of it. The first thing. It is thinking about it that makes the process so intimidating. Always. That is why we procrastinate, because the stress of the impending deadline spurs us to action. If instead we create our own deadline and create internal resolve, we will get the same results without the terrible impact on our health.

Over the next few weeks I will be sharing some videos to help us stay focused. In these videos I will do things alongside you. Sometimes just having an accountability partner. These videos will be short and when they are done, you can go on to your day–if you want. However, I think that just starting is going to make it much easier to keep going when the video is done and to reach some real goals this month.

If you found this helpful, I also share weekly, short, and practical content on my Substack that you can apply immediately. The free version is perfect for bite-sized insights, while the premium subscription includes downloadable tools, exclusive teachings from me, and significant discounts on products and coaching. For personalized support, coaching is available by phone or video (with recordings provided).
